About West Palm Beach Housing

The West Palm Beach Housing Authority (WPBHA) is a public agency that was established in 1938 after the original Housing Act of 1937 became law. The agency was the ninth housing authority created in the State of Florida. The WPBHA was established to provide safe, decent and affordable housing to individuals and families with limited financial resources. The WPBHA owns and operates the Conventional Housing Program and owns 648 public housing units under this program. The WPBHA also administers 3,149 vouchers through the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Our agency consistently works to enhance the quality of life for our residents by offering them educational, self-sufficiency and recreational activities..

To provide safe, decent and affordable public housing to persons and families with limited financial resources and to provide residents with access to programs, which will assist them in making the transition to greater financial security.
